Title: Wiring a small electric motor and LED lights (for a sign) to one plug
Post by: pricklyprawn on April 22, 2013, 12:50:10 AM
This is going to be used for a small wooden sign for a display box.  I would like it to be as simple as plugging it in and the whole sign turns on (motor and lights).  I haven't done much electric work in my life, but it seems like it wouldn't be too hard.  I've wired small electronics on electric guitars and microphones (soldering and whatnot).  I would appreciate it if anyone has any input on what I need, and in what order to wire the lights and motor.  The motor will only need to be big enough to spin a small wooden circle (approx. 1 inch across) at a slow rate.  And there will be a chain of LEDs or some other small bulbs lining the sign that is approx. 3' x 6".  Thanks for any help.
